Description |
Clear Depression Glass pitcher with designs of small and larger squares embossed in the glass. Top rim has indentures in glass like small thumb prints design, circling around to the lip for pouring. Curved handle with 6 sided design in glass. Bottom of base has a flower design with 14 leaves embossed. Depression glassware was distributed free, or at low cost, in the U.S. around the time of the Great Depression. The Quaker Oats Company and other food manufacturers put a piece of glassware in boxes of food as an incentive to purchase. |
