Description |
The back of the photo says "potato for seed on dry farm"; this was written by the person who originally accessed the photos in 1997. I beleive this is a harvest picture. There are two pieces of equipment on the field that are loading potatos into bags. There are numerous potatos on the ground. In the very far back of the photo you can the silhouettes of buildings (sheds or homes) and trees. There are 21 people in the picture. One person is in the passenger side of the truck and there is a child in the background that is sitting down on the field. It looks like there are 5 children. Near the closest piece of equipement looks like 3 or 4 African Americans. There is one flat bed truck loaded down with potato bags and there are numerous bags of potatos throughout the whole field. Two men by the truck are dressed in suit and tie. There are words on the side of the truck and I can only make out the last word "...Storage". The area of the truck is blurry. The bottom right hand corner of the picture says the photographers name, "H. McDonald; Alamosa, Co" Image 2 of 2 is the assumed original with the actual photo information on it. |
