Presented by Representative Mark Udall on 06/16/2014, (Vol. 160 No.93), to recognize the cultural heritage of the SLV and northern NM. Eppie Archuleta is widely credited for saving both Spanish and Navajo styles of weaving in the south west. She received the National Heritage Fellowship award from the National Endowment of arts. Also worked in residency at the Smithsonian Inst. and awarded an honorary doctorate in art from Adams St.
